I am skilled in many of the different facets of multimedia. Whether it's social media or writing. Film or photography. Coding or design. I have a unique set of skills in all of these subjects that could be beneficial to your organization. I know how to be a leader and take charge, but I am also a team player. I am a flexible individual (as well as a fast learner), and I am always up front and honest about what I think is the best decision for each given topic. I love the world of multimedia and digital media, and I hope that my website gives you some sort of insight of the skills that I have to offer.
While working for the Visitor Center under the City of Georgetown, I undertook a variety of tasks. One of my biggest accomplishments was the transfer of the Visitor Center websites calendar. I manually transferred the calendar from a google calendar plugin, to a wordpress-based calendar. I also helped manage and add content to the website as needed. This was on top of my other tasks involving social media management, and assisting in the planning of the Red Poppy Festival (an annual festival in Georgetown, TX).
Besides creating and scheduling posts for the University Star social media pages, I also contributed to covering local events and producing video and photo content for these pages. I studied social media data and analytics from the various social media platforms (facebook, twitter, instagram) and gave feedback to my superiors on how social media was doing, and how to improve engagement in terms of which types of posts to use. I also helped with data management.
I created content for TEDx Texas State University's social media pages (twitter, facebook, instagram, snapchat), and analyzed data from their social media pages. I also created detailed infographics concerning data analytics, and brainstormed with TEDx on how they could improve their social media presence.
I did several tasks while interning for the City of Georgetown. This included managing files and databases, creating and scheduling posts for their social media platforms (facebook, twitter), analyzing data from their social media pages, working with the PR team to develop a plan to address the citizens of Georgetown during a water shortage crisis, utilizing coding skills to help with the city's databases, and working with various city-based softwares, including GIS mapping software.
Being that I specialize in digital media, I am unsurprisingly a huge tech nerd. I love playing and interacting with new technology and software, and I never miss staying up to date on the latest Apple keynotes or E3 event news. Most of my free time consists of consuming media (wether it be social, YouTube, Netflix or movies) and playing video games.
Unlike most tech nerds, I am not a complete couch potato. During the spring and summer months, I enjoy getting outside and soaking up the warm weather. I am an avid swimmer, and I love going boating out on the lake. I am family-oriented, and I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love life, and love how the digital world can expand all of our horizons to new reaches.
